the Aakash tablet has been sold out, it doesn;t mean you can not buy Datawind's tablet which is exactly the same tablet with some extra features, but with higher price.
Government of India is now working on Aakash-2, which hopefully will be launched by the end of February 2012.

The bidding for manufacturing of aakash 2 will be held next week, and government has also invited one of Taiwanese major tablet makers for bidding.
Expect to have new aakash 2, many new extra features and improved performance.
the price of Aakash 2 wll be between $50 - $35 depending on the manufacturing cost.
